Nate Says:

I found this particular part of the trail the most difficult when I was first starting to ride. There is a massive ball of roots that completely stops the bike when you run into it if you don't know how to transfer your weight properly. Around the 90 degree corner are more roots, heading our from the center of the corner, allowing only the most well balanced riders pass without having to get off the bike.

Joel Says :

I always would look forward to this section when riding UH. Before hitting it you would climb a steep hill and sweep around a corner (which Nate and I built a short cut through once upon a time) and then have a short straight shoot to gain speed before getting through. If you were lucky and gained enough speed you could literally float it; coast through using your suspension to glide over the roots. However, like Nate says, if the rider is unexperienced they are in for a rough surprise since you really do have to move your weight around. If you do it wrong and dismount you have to walk your bike around the corner and through another short series of bigger roots since restarting in the middle of these is not an option.
